Job Elements: -

• We are seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Director to take overall responsibility for financial management of the business.
• The key requirements of this role are to support the Managing Director and Executive team, by supporting the profitability improvement plans across the business and leading the plans to meet expectations for working capital management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: -
• Production of monthly management accounts and Board reports
• Production of statutory accounts including liaison with auditors
• Overview of all corporation taxation returns including liaison with tax advisors
• Preparation of R&D tax reclaim schedules
• Production of annual and quarterly budgets and outturn forecasts as required
• Preparation of weekly working capital reports and cash flow forecasts
• Overall responsibility for the credit control function and for dealing with disputes at a higher level
• Preparation and review of monthly job costing reports and data
• Overview of trade instruments such as performance bonds, letters of credit and forward contracts to ensure that the Company is protected in its commercial dealings
• Management of Finance team of four people
• Review of the Company's internal controls and financial systems
• Responsible for grant submissions and measurement and adherence to post award criteria
• Perform Company Secretarial duties
• On site responsibility for Company's HR function including management of payroll and pension scheme, assisted by Company's third party legal advisors
• On site management of Company's IT function, assisted by Company's third party legal advisors
• Oversight of the Company's insurance portfolio, maintaining the prime relationship with the Company's insurance brokers
• Responsibility for the implementation of an ERP system to streamline and integrate the core functions of the business

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in leading and managing a Finance team
• Management of cash flow and cash flow reporting (ideally within a Manufacturing environment)
• Financial reporting and forecasting
• VAT, Corporation Tax and PAYE returns
• Company secretarial duties
• Implementation of ERP system
• Fully ACA/ACCA qualified
• Advanced Excel capability
• Experience with ERP systems
