the double locks is a famous pub in Exeter based on the canal with the largest beer garden in the region and it gets busy. We cater for weddings and functions along with special one of events for up to 3000 people.

The right candidates will be
-Someone with a track record of having occupied a similar position of responsibility
-A record staying with previous employers
-Passionate about producing fresh delicious food
-Keen to work with the head chef in developing seasonal recipes and maintaining and improving standards
-Comfortable leading a team in the absence of the head chef
-Self motivated and puts pride into his/her work
-Eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions

Duties will include
-Consistent production of high quality food
-Adhere to Health & Safety requirements, and standards of Food Hygiene
-Direct and instruct other chefs in the absence of the head chef
-Food ordering, checking goods inwards and managing stock rotation

Personal Attributes & Skills
-Excellent timekeeping and reliability
-High level of cleanliness and personal presentation
-Ability to work well with others, possessing a cheerful, positive outlook
-Able to work efficiently and effectively in a busy environment.
-Ability to be a team leader in the absence of the head chef.

Working Pattern & Benefits
-Average working week will be 45 hours
-Incentive for achieving budgeted food GP
-20% discount when using other Youngs pubs and restaurants

hours from 40 to 50 a week, late finish is normally around 9.30pm in the summer and 7pm on sundays.
pay is negotionable depending on the right candiate but between GBP9 and GBP10 a hour for the sous chef and GBP8- GBP9 for the chef
