Cloud Architect Location: Exeter, Devon Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 dependent on experience bonus and benefits We are currently looking for a Cloud Architect to work for a global company with an office in central Exeter. Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities: You : Will design and develop enterprise orientated Cloud based software solutions. Will work with stakeholders and other groups to identify technical and functional needs, priorities and to ensure production of commercially viable solutions. Champion our technology to internal and external stakeholders. Will use and suggest appropriate technologies such as C#, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AngularJS, MVC, HTML5, CSS, Jasmine and nUnit/xUnit, Elastic Stack, AWS together with other associated technologies. Stay abreast of current SaaS design trends and technologies and recommend which to adopt (or avoid), and when. Will inspire teams towards continuous improvement and developing an innovative culture to evolve the reliability and performance of our services and infrastructure. Work collaboratively with other senior engineers and architects in defining elegant solutions to difficult problems. Will provide assistance in researching and adopting new and emerging technologies, evaluating new tools, technologies and platforms to be used on projects. Will track status of work and ensuring deliverables are produced on agreed schedules. Will be responsible for accurate communication of the status of on going work to stakeholders, to include project management and senior managers. Will collaborate with remote teams located domestically and internationally. Will work in an Agile development environment. Will employ company policy in areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change and configuration management, compliance, and HR. Essential Skills: Significant demonstrable experience designing and implementing products and services in Public Cloud (primarily AWS stack). Extensive hands-on commercial experience of large enterprise cloud-based products and technologies. Experience working in an environment involving rapid development of modern, service-based HTML5 applications. Experience of developing under the 'agile' development methodology and 'scrum' process with a good understanding of testing including unit testing, integration testing, and scale testing. Experience analysing business requirements and decomposing them into technical solutions. Positive attitude.
