Sales Representative / Account Management Executive (Pharmaceuticals) Role: Full-time, permanent Location: Barnstaple, Devon Starting Salary: £18k – £20k bonus industry training significant benefits progression Starting OTE: 21.6k – £23.6k The Role: Following the launch of our new Sales Team in Barnstaple, we’re seeking a number of engaging and customer-focussed individuals to join our friendly and supportive department. With a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, you’ll build strong working relationships with our valued customers, gaining a clear understanding of their needs and matching them to our relevant products, offers and services to maximise customer satisfaction and work towards your realistic individual and team targets. There is no cold calling in this role, just prospecting to customers who have a need for and interest in our products. Taking pride in your work, you’ll receive and process customer orders efficiently, respond to enquiries quickly and effectively and answer all calls in a professional and personable manner to uphold our high standards. To ensure a positive customer experience at all times, you’ll monitor your calls and day-to-day activities to proactively identify any out of stock items or significant market activity (particularly relating to competitors), reporting identified trends or issues to your Team Leader and colleagues to ensure market intelligence is communicated clearly, consistently and effectively. As a highly regulated industry, you’ll follow all company policies and procedures closely and manage our CRM system carefully to protect customer information and comply with any data protection requirements. The Progression: In this role, you’ll spend the first 12 months in our structured and supportive training programme, giving you opportunity to develop a firm understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, the generics market (non-branded prescription medicines), Accord product portfolio (including over 1,000 SKUs) and offer structure (our ‘Sales Scheme’), and our customers. In addition, we’ll support and pay for you to study for the ABPI Certificate exam, a recognised industry qualification (worth £4,000) to enhance your understanding of the compliance aspects of the industry. We’re not looking for a particular educational background, more for the right capability and aptitude, but a good level of English, Maths and IT skills are important for the day-to-day role. Experience in a customer service or account management role would be advantageous, as would experience in a regulated environment and an interest in the life science / pharmaceutical sector.
