Job Title: Customer Quality Director Sector: Hi Tech Manufacturing Location: Paignton, Devon Salary: Negotiable Customer Quality Director: You will deliver leadership for Customer-Focused Quality improvements, Design Assurance, Reliability, Product Safety, Quality Systems and business process improvement initiatives. The key responsibilities for the role are to - Prime the Quality Management interface and messaging on Customer matters relating to Product Quality Compliance and Reporting. - Engaging and responsible for interfacing with regional customers for key quality issues, supporting RMA issue resolution. - Review Key Customer Requirements / Contracts and ensure they are suitably addressed and managed by internal procedures or managed back to the Customer. - Implement and maintain RMA processes, driving improvement programs and detailed reporting of Product Quality Performance. - Interface, Support and work any Project based work on initiatives delivering improved product and process initiatives as necessary. Your Skills and Experience: Education/Qualification - Minimum: - Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience - Experience of Quality Management with technical skills in an electronics / optoelectronics field Skills/Competencies Essential: - Broad technical skills and understanding of Materials, Electronics, FW/SW, PCBA, Optics - Product Reliability Awareness / Design Assurance: Knowledge of process and material to assure product reliability. - QC tools awareness, 8D report methodology, SPC, Gauge R&R, Calibration, 6-Sigma, PDCA - Good communication with Engineering, Commercial teams and External Customers. Skills/Competencies Desirable: - Experience of Product Lifecycle. Failure Analysis knowledge - ISO9000, TL9000: Certified internal auditor with significant audit experience - Material FMD and RoHS aware: Product compliance to RoHS program. - Understanding of the telecom industry and market. e.g. Telcordia Stds, IPC610, etc. - A minimum of 5years experience in a relevant role Benefits Private Healthcare, Holiday Purchase, Pension contributions matched 3%, income protection, relocation package How to Apply: Send me a copy of your CV and I will call you back to discuss this role and your situation
