As first line you'll take calls and manage our IT ticketing system, to ensure we are able to deliver an exceptional customer experience. To help our schools and children's homes with their systems and IT equipment, working closing with second and third line teams. With your help, our professionals can support children and young people with special educational needs. The role As an experienced first line support tech or Helpdesk professional, you'll support our systems we use in our offices, schools and children's homes remotely. In our busy IT office, you multitask and coordinate answering calls and passing work to the relevant tech, whilst installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. Taking responsibility for setting up new starter accounts and providing administration support to the IT team. You place orders with our suppliers to ensure we have essential hardware when required. There will also be travel to other sites around the Group on occasions, as well as supporting them remotely where possible. Collaborating with other members of the IT team in different locations will enable you to progress and develop your skills and knowledge. Your profile Having worked recently in a first line support or helpdesk role before, you'll already have what it takes to provide first class tech support and service delivery. You have solid expertise in the following key areas: - Microsoft operating systems and Office - Supporting remote users - Basic knowledge of network and PC hardware - Administration and organisation However, this role calls for more than technical ability.
